One of the uses of technology in education is to make it easier for students, instructors, and teachers to access their school-related needs. The technology utilized here is the Student Portal, through which students can access their grades, assignments, and other information.

If you are a student in the Austin Independent School District (AISD), you must know how to access the Student Portal in order to gain access to all resources related to your education.

Using the AISD Student Portal

How do I access the Austin Independent School District (AISD) Student Portal? It is very simple. The link to the AISD Student Portal is provided below. After clicking this link, you can log in by clicking the login link on that page. Here is the login link. After clicking this link, you will be redirected to a login page. You must enter your username and then click the Continue button on the login page. After entering your password, you will be required to click the Continue button.

How about the username and password required for access? You are able to request your username and password from your instructor.

After logging into the student portal, you have access to applications that may be necessary for completing your homework or communicating with your teachers. You can access Google email and applications, educational applications beyond assigned work, supplementary tutorials and guides, and your grades and notification settings.

You should investigate the Student Portal on your own. There are numerous resources in the Portal that can enhance your classroom experience.

Through the AISD Cloud, Examining Grades and Assignments

Through the AISD Cloud, students can access their grades and assignments. However, you should be aware that the assignments listed in Student Self-Service do not necessarily correspond to the assignments in Blend. You must regularly check Blend for assignments from your instructors.

You must first log in to the AISD Cloud via this link: my.austinisd.org.

  • Then, you must click the tile labeled Student Self-Service.
    You will then be directed to the Frontline Education login page. To sign in, you must use your AISD cloud login credentials.
    Click on the tab titled Report Cards to view your grades.
  • To locate assignments that correspond to your grades, you must click the grade value.
  • Then, a new tab titled Assignments will appear, displaying the assignment associated with the grade.
  • To review additional assignments, you must click the Report Cards tab again and then select a different grade value.

In the following list, you will find the definition of grade value code.

  • There is no effect on the mean.
  • EXC (Excused): No influence on the mean
  • PND (Pending): No influence on the mean
  • ABS (Absent): No influence on the mean
  • I (Incomplete): Considered a zero when calculating the average
  • MSG (Missing): Considered a zero when calculating the average
  • O (Zero): Used in the calculation of the average as a zero.

You can use the tab Email Teacher to communicate with individual teachers about grades and assignments. You must select the teacher’s name from a drop-down menu.

You can access your grades and assignments as an Austin Independent School District student by downloading a mobile app to your smartphone or tablet. How do I accomplish this? You can follow the steps listed below.

  • The first step is to locate the TEAMS Mobile application in the app store. Then, it must be downloaded.
  • After downloading the application, you must tap the Select drop-down menu. Select Austin ISD and press submit.
  • Tap Student to choose your Account Type, then tap Submit.
    Tap the Login button after entering your Austin ISD Cloud Username and Password.
  • You must now tap the Report Cards button.
    Here, you must select the Course Number/Name.
  • In this step, you must tap Assignments to view the list of course assignments.

Here are the steps you must take in order to send an email to a teacher.

  • From the Assignments screen, you must first select Student Home.
    Then you must select Email Teacher.
  • Then, you must select a teacher to email by tapping the Teacher Name field.
