How Does Freckle Student Dashboard Work?

Using Freckle Education, students will experience studying with a standards-based program that includes resources for science, ELA, math, and social studies, designed specifically for K-8 students and adapting to their individual skill levels.

In the Freckle program, there are over 30,000 math questions and over 500 ELA articles, which frequently include science and social studies standards in addition to ELA standards. In addition, each article offers five different reading levels.

This program allows students to play through various levels of problems and articles in order to earn coins. Additionally, it provides both teacher-made assignments and adaptive practice.

Start Using Freckle

To begin using the Freckle education program, you must obtain a class code and be familiar with the login portal. Yes, a class code can be obtained from the teacher.

Here is basic Freckle usage!

Step 1: Login into Freckle official site

  • Freckle can be accessed at https://student.freckle.com/. You can also download the Freckle iPad application from Self Service.
  • Once at the login portal, you must enter the class code for each student.

Step 2: Commence some activities

After navigating to your Freckle dashboard, you will begin using this educational program. Your teacher likely employs Freckle in a variety of ways, including instructing students to practice independently and assigning practice. Freckle’s activities may also vary based on the level of instruction your school provides via the Freckle program.

You will find the following subsections and activities in Freckle:

Assignments

Students are most likely assigned work by their teachers. The student’s dashboard will subsequently display a number of assignments. Through this section, teachers will assign students ELA and math homework, as well as social studies and social articles. Obviously, students must focus on their teacher’s assignments before engaging in other Freckle activities.

Independent Practice

Instead of assigning practice for the Independent Practice section, teachers probably require students to practice in Freckle for a certain amount of time each day or week. It indicates that you can access Freckle and practice independently at any time, even if the teacher does not provide specific instructions.

There are at least a few ELA, math, and age-appropriate activities that you can independently practice. Moreover, the instructor will likely inform you of the required activities.

Activities

There are a few activities available within Freckle. You will receive Adaptive Math, Number Basics, Number Facts, and Fact Practice for Math. You will receive library activities, skill practice, grammar, decodable, Sight Words, and Word Study for English Language Arts.

Step3: Get Rewards

When students correctly answer the questions, they will earn digital “coins.” After completing a level or accumulating a certain number of coins, players can visit the ‘Piggy Store’ to purchase avatar accessories such as wigs, shirts, and accessories.
